Again this summer, Centre for Science and Innovation Intersection is organizing the Science Camp Viminacium for children aged 7 to 12 years. The Camp is organized in cooperation with a number of renowned scientific and educational institutions, including the Archaeological and Mathematical Institutes of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Center for New Technology and University Martin Luther from Halle (Germany). During the summer many scientists will participate in camp activities, aiming to bring science closer to young people in a nice and interesting way.

Intersection at GenPORT portal Launch event
The Working Breakfast at the European Parliament held on 21 April 2016 in Brussels, hosted by Science and Technology Options Assessment (STOA) of the European Commission, was dedicated to gender dimension of technology and science. This event, followed by a Stakeholder Forum, officially marked the launch of the GenPORT portal (www.genderportal.eu).
Intersection in GENERA H2020 project
Intersection joined the GENERA H2020 project and serves as the contact to SEE region. GENERA is the Horizon 2020 project aiming at continuing, monitoring and improving the Gender Equality Plans of Research Institutions and Organizations specifically in the physics research field.

Three exciting days of European Student Parliament 2016 in Belgrade!
From 9 to 11 April at the National Parliament of the Republic of Serbia, a hundred of high school students gathered together to debate science on the topic of “The future of the human being” in the framework of the European Student Parliaments project organized by Intersection from Belgrade and Wissenschaft im Dialog from Berlin. After the final debate the Jury selected the winners – six best debaters will travel to Manchester where they will test the debating skills on scientific topics by working with their peers from across Europe.

The national project coordinator in Serbia is the Centre for Science and Innovation (Intersection) and at European level the project is led by Wissenschaft im Dialog (Science in Dialog) from Germany.

Save the date for the Internet of Things Week 2016
From May 31st to June 2nd the IoT Week will be held in Belgrade gathering 300 to 500 industry and academia representatives from around the world. IoT Forum, jointly with DunavNET as local host of the IoT Week 2016, and Intersection as one of the co-organizers, together with IoT and makers’ communities are shaping up an exciting event.
