ImPossible Design competition

ImPossible Design is a competition for the best design solution and prototype design for young designers. The motive for organising the competition is to promote additive manufacturing (the so-called “3D printing”) based on the principle of “layer by layer” manufacture, which allows the release of designers’ creativity and innovativeness in new product development.

Aleksandra Drecun, the President of Intersection, will moderate the panel Women’s role for a cohesive society at a seminar event For a Cohesive Europe: Gender Equality and Women’s Rights. The event the will be organized by the Romanian Presidency of the EU Council in collaboration with the Embassy of Finland and the Embassy of Croatia, as part of the EU Trio, in cooperation with the Council of Europe and UN Women.

Intersection participates in the new Horizon 2020 project – SeeRRI

Intersection joined the Horizon 2020 project SeeRRI (Building Self-Sustaining R&I Ecosystems in Europe through Responsible Research and Innovation) that aims to develop a framework and actions for building responsible regional development policies in Europe. Intersection became the part of the Network of Affiliated Territories (NAT) with the objective of contributing to its replication in South-Eastern Europe and other R&I ecosystems across Europe.

European Science Engagement Association (EUSEA) Board meeting was held in January in Vienna, Austria, at Campus Vienna Biocenter. The Board discussed EUSEA’s activities for the next period with the special focus on the EUSEA Annual European Science Engagement Conference to be held in Vienna in May 2019.

Representatives of Intersection met in Toulouse with Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation of the European Commission, and discussed with him current issues of today’s science, involving young people’s involvement in making important societal decisions, as well as the participation of Serbia and other Western Balkan countries in the scientific programs of the European Union.
