Representatives of Intersection met in Toulouse with Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation of the European Commission, and discussed with him current issues of today’s science, involving young people’s involvement in making important societal decisions, as well as the participation of Serbia and other Western Balkan countries in the scientific programs of the European Union.

Commissioner Moedas stressed the commitment of the European Commission, and in particular of the directorate he is the head of, to the stronger integration of the Western Balkans into European research area, and expressed his readiness to visit Serbia in the upcoming period. Moedas particularly supported representatives of Intersection in efforts to provide an adequate place for science in society, for a remarkable engagement in European projects, and stressed his determination to provide full support to young people on their way to a scientific career.
