Aleksandra Drecun, President of Intersection and the Board Member of European Science Engagement Association (EUSEA) participated in EUSEA Annual Conference 2017, in Leuven. The conference was held under the motto “Beyond HORIZONs – Framing the Future” and gathered around 80 participants from all across Europe, as well as from Egypt, Korea and Russia in an inspiring and dynamic event.

Hosted by KU Leuven the programme offered more sessions and workshops than ever before. In a spirit of co-creation and openness to learn from each other, EUSEA members and guests developed ideas on the future of Public Engagement in Europe and beyond. Keynotes from Ana Arana Antelo, the Head of the Science with and for Society at the European Commission, and Ivvett Modinou, representing the British Science Association, highlighted the strategies and upcoming challenges for the Science Communication Community worldwide. Aleksandra moderated several interesting panels at the two-day of this Conference evaluated by the participants as one of the best events they attended.
